    Monroe High School will administer the Fall End-of-Course and NCFL assessments. The exams will start at 8:00 a.m. and end at approximately 12:15 p.m.  In order to administer these exams we are in need of proctors.  If you are available to volunteer your time, please contact Elnita Ottey at

  • Fall Exam Schedule January 18, 2017-January 23, 2017

    All students are required to attend review sessions-attendance will be taken for each review session.  Only lawful excuses for absences will be accepted:  medical note, note from court, death in the family. Exams will be administered 8:00 am -12:30 pm and review session will be held 12:35 pm- 3:04 pm. Buses will run on the regular schedule except for Monday Jan 23.

  • SECU "People Helping People" Scholarship Information
    Members of State Employees’ Credit Union established the "People Helping People" four-year scholarship program to assist North Carolina public high school students attend college. Each North Carolina regular public high school, as determined by SECU Foundation Board, will receive one (1) scholarship valued at $10,000 for a senior to attend one of the 16 constituent campuses of the University of North Carolina. In addition the program will provide a $5,000 two-year scholarship to a graduating senior from early college and cooperative innovative high schools.   • Online Cap and Gown Order Information

    Seniors did you miss placing your cap and gown order when Jostens was on site?  If so, you can still order online at . You can order your cap and gown, rings, memorabilia, etc. All of the packages will be delivered to the school in March/April. The price of a cap and gown package doubles in January to $70 so order now!

    Do you want to be informed about the latest happenings and news at Monroe High School? Download the free UCPS App from the Google play store. It pulls in social media feeds, calendar events, and announcements. It also allows schools to send messages directly to mobile devices.

  • Powerschool Mobile App:  

    The Powerschool Mobile App is a convenient way to quickly access all your students’ powerschool information including detailed attendance, grades, assignments, fees, announcements.  Under settings, you are able to define how often you would like email alerts and can send the alerts to multiple emails if you choose to.  Instructions for setting up the Mobile App can be found here.

    • Returning families: you will use your existing username and password to sign in to the Mobile App once you have installed app.
    • New families:  You will need to set up your Powerschool Parent account and add your students following the steps in the instruction letter. Then, you can install the mobile app and sign on using the user name and password you previously set up.

  • Monroe High Front Office Hours

    Monroe High School operates on a traditional school calendar. Monroe High School's front office is open from 7:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. when school is in session and from 7:30 a.m -3:30 p.m. on teacher workdays.
