  • Girls Soccer Tryouts February 15, 2016 

    Girls soccer tryouts will be held Monday, February 15, 2016 directly afterschool. All athletic packets must be turned in to Coach Spittle by Friday, February 12, 2016 in order to tryout. Students will not be allowed to participate without the proper paperwork. Any questions please see Coach Spittle.

  • AFJROTC Military Ball Tickets on Sale

    Air Force JROTC Valentine's Military Ball tickets are on sale this week. The ball will be held Friday, February 12, 2016 at the Old Armory Community Center from 5:50 pm to 10:00 pm. See Major Jackson or MSGT. Davis if you have any questions.

    Yearbook Order Deadline:

    Parents please do not forget to order your student a copy of the 2015-2016 yearbook! The deadline is approaching fast! Deadline to place your order is February 26, 2016. You can order online at www.jostensyearbooks.com. You can also layaway a yearbook with a third of the total price deposit down and two additional payments within 90 days.  Another option is to bring twenty dollars to Mrs. Losh in room 131 to reserve a copy. Please contact Mrs. Losh with any questions or concerns.

  • Key Club "Teens for Jeans Drive"

    Do you happen to have old jeans at home that you no longer fit into or you haven't worn in a long time ? The Monroe High School Key Club would love to help! They are holding a "Teens for Jeans" drive from February 2, 2016-February 24, 2016. Donation boxes are located in the front office, the Hawk's Nest, the gym lobby and in the teacher's lounge. If you have any questions about the jean drive, please do not hesitate to ask Ms. Jessica Hall or Ms. Brooke Chambers.

  • Practice ACT February 20, 2016

    Juniors are invited to take a practice ACT from 8 am to 12 pm on Saturday, February 20th in order to help them prepare for the ACT on March 1, 2016. Breakfast will be provided for all participants, as well as a snack when students are done testing. Interested students should see Mrs. Losh or Ms. Shroyer on North Hall by February 16th to sign up.   • Senior Scholarships:

    Currently our seniors have received over 1,200,000 in Merit Scholarships!!! If your are a senior and have received a Merit Scholarship award letter, please bring the letter Guidance office. In addition, if you are interested in applying for a scholarship, please see Mr. Rodriguez in the Guidance office.

  • Summer Reading List

    Students who are taking English second semester should ensure they have read the assigned summer reading text prior to the first day of class.  Please see your English teacher if you are in need of a book. The reading list can be found here.

  • Changes to Student Grading Scale for 2015-2016

    In October of 2014 the State Board of Education approved a standard 10-point grading scale and a change in standards for quality points for to begin at the start of the 2015-2016 school year. Click here (Spanish) for a summary of the changes.

    Monroe High School operates on a traditional school calendar. Monroe High School's front office is open from 7:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. when school is in session and from 7:30 a.m -3:30 p.m. on teacher workdays.
