    Seniors, individual Cap and Gown pictures will be May 13th. You will need to bring your cap and gown. Sign up by Friday, May 6th with Mrs. Losh in room 131. If you do not sign up, you will not get an appointment!

  • Summer Reading List:

    In an effort to increase reading to better prepare students for challenging North Carolina End of Course tests, North Carolina Final exams, Advanced Placement exams, the ACT, and the SAT, the English department is requiring mandatory summer reading for ALL students. Please carefully examine the requirements for your respective grade level at the link below; students should have the readings and/or assignments completed by the first day of class. Please note that this is slightly different from previous years; students should choose one text form their appropriate grade level list based on their interest. Students are not responsible for the entire list.

  • Community Blood Center of the Carolinas Blood Drive

    Please come out to donate at the JROTC May blood drive! Every drop stays in our community!

    Where: Monroe High      Date: Friday, May 6, 2016    Time: 8:00am-1:00pm  Location: Lobby of new gym/Bloodmobile

    Anyone 16 years old or younger must have a signed parent consent form. You must have a valid photo id to donate.

  • Prom Information:

    When: May 21, 2016

    Where: SPCC Ball Room

    Time: 8:00 pm-Midnight

    Prom tickets will be on sale Wednesday, April 6 till Friday May 13, 2016 for $50.00 each The price will increase to $60.00 each starting May 16, 2016-May 18, 2016. All tickets will be numbered and labeled with name of student and guest. Identification will be requested at the prom entrance. All early grads need to see Mr. Wilson for payment. No tickets will be sold after May 20, 2016-no exceptions! Forms are available outside Mr. Wilson's, Ms. Broadus" and Ms. Coffey's rooms.     GRADUATION DATE: Saturday, June 11, 2016 at 9:00 am in Redhawk Stadium


    Girls-Black/White dress or skirt. Black/White FLAT shoes

     Boys-Black dress pants, black tie, white button up shirt, black dress shoes


    1. Two Rain or Shine tickets guarenteed for every graduate

    2. Two additional Rain or Shine tickets earned from attending Senior Class Night

     3. Shine Only tickets-this ticket is only valid if the ceremony is to held in the stadium. These tickets will go on sale at a date to determined. Tickets  will be $10.00 each and they are non-refundable. Children two years of age and younger will be admitted without a ticket.

    FEES: See Ms. Dodd (bookeeper) for fee balances. Do not wait. The $25.00 tech fee may be waived with free lunch eligibility letter.

    Monroe High School operates on a traditional school calendar. Monroe High School's front office is open from 7:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. when school is in session and from 7:30 a.m -3:30 p.m. on teacher workdays.
