Catherine Perry (Principal)
About Mrs. Perry
Mrs. Catherine Perry was born and grew up in central New Jersey, just minutes north of Princeton. She is a graduate of Saint Peter's College in Jersey City, New Jersey with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Elementary Education. She attended college on a full athletic softball scholarship, which allowed her to travel throughout the United States competing at the Division I level. Later, she completed a Master of Arts in Educational Leadership from Kean University in Union, New Jersey.
Mrs. Perry has taught several grades, at both the elementary and middle school levels, throughout her time in the classroom. When New Town Elementary opened its doors in August 2007, she was a teaching member of the fifth-grade team. Later that school year, she joined the school's administration as an Assistant Principal. Before the start of the 2013-2014 school year, she was named the school’s Principal.
Mrs. Perry also lives in the New Town community with her husband, Michael, and their two young sons, Jayden and Jaxson.

Lindsey Williams (Assistant Principal)
About Mrs. Williams
Lindsey Williams received her bachelor’s degree in Human Development and Family Studies from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro with a concentration in Birth through Kindergarten Licensure and her Master’s degree in Elementary Education from Wingate University. Additionally, she completed her add-on degree in Educational School Leadership at Wingate University.
Mrs. Williams began her teaching career in Union County Public Schools in 2008. She has served in many capacities during this time. She began by teaching Title 1 Pre-Kindergarten and then transitioned into First Grade. During this time Mrs. Williams also received specialized educational training and became a Reading Recovery Teacher, where she served students with special reading needs. Most recently, Mrs. Williams has worked for the UCPS Elementary Department as an Instructional Content Facilitator. In this role, she supported district initiatives, developed curriculum and delivered district professional development.
Mrs. Williams resides in Waxhaw with her husband Chance’ and son Avery. She enjoys spending time with her family, reading, playing outside with Avery and running. Mrs. Williams is excited to be a part of the New Town family and bring her love of curriculum and instruction to the community.
