  • Weddington Country Festival

    The Town of Weddington , NC will hold its annual Weddington Country Festival,  featuring “Art at the Corners” on Saturday September 17, 2016, from 10:00 am until 4:00 pm at the Town Hall and the Weddington Corners Shopping Center located behind town hall  at 1924 Weddington Road (downtown Weddington).

    The Town of Weddington is proud to bring to Union County their annual Weddington Country Festival. The festival will bring old fashioned family fun for all ages once again to the heart of the community. The day will feature local Weddington artists.   

    “Kids Corner” will include all day - old fashioned family fun for all. Children can explore their creative side at our arts and crafts area by decorating a pumpkin or making a spin art poster. If adventure and exercise are what you are seeking come bounce in our giant inflatable slide or Moon Bounce, and ride the super spinner.  There will also be double shot basketball and Giant Joust.  We will have many activities to keep your family well entertained from face painting, to hula hoop or limbo contests for various age groups.   Once again Whispering Hope Farm petting zoo will be here.

    Calling all bakers, dust off your recipes and enter to win 1st, 2nd or 3rd prize in the Best of Weddington Baking Contest.

    Senior Citizens ages 65 and up will be served a free BBQ picnic with all the “fixings” from 11:30 until 1 pm. The BBQ will be held right behind Weddington town hall.    

    Our live music features the Hinson Girls; a bluegrass band will be performing throughout the day. 

    The Town of Weddington was established in 1983 and is proud of its rural atmosphere and “down home” feel.  In the past our community has gathered together for festivals and fairs with a rich history of fun family events.
