Humanities Overview Page
The Humanities Director provides support and resources to Kindergarten through 12th grade teachers. Included in the Humanities Department are the visual arts, band, chorus, music, theater arts, dance, physical education, health, and sports medicine teachers.
The humanities are a critical component of a child's education. Humanities education contributes to brain development and higher-level cognitive functions, from creativity to fine and gross motor skills. Additionally, self-expression and individuality are fostered through a child's continuing engagement in the humanities.
