  • The  Humanities Director provides support and resources to Kindergarten through 12th grade teachers. Included in the Humanities Department are the visual arts, band, chorus, music, theater arts, dance, physical education, health, and sports medicine teachers.

    Support includes:

    •  Curriculum development, mapping, and resources
    •  Professional  Development
    •  Community and higher education partnerships that provide grants, educational opportunities, and resources for our students and       teachers.
    •  Encouragement and enhancement of the arts and healthful living opportunities for students on school, community, state, and  national  levels
    The humanities are a critical component of a child's education. Humanities education contributes to brain development and higher-level cognitive functions, from creativity to fine and gross motor skills. Additionally, self-expression and individuality are fostered through a child's continuing engagement in the humanities.
