LET'S CELEBRATE NATIONAL BOARD CERTIFIED TEACHERS!

Dr. Sonja Brown, NCDPI National Board Certification Coordinator, has announced that the National Board will begin a month-long celebration of NBCTs and current candidates pursuing National Board Certification. Throughout NBCT Celebration Month, the national office will be engaging teachers through online events and sharing various facts via social media, such as top states and districts with the highest number of NBCTs, the number of NBCTs in leadership roles, and other statistics that represent the current status of NBCTs and candidates nationwide. Friday, December 4, 2015 is Certification Day! Click on National Board has publicly released the total number of NBCTs and candidates, and will launch a Certification Day webpage at http://www.nbpts.org/certification-month. All North Carolina School Districts have been invited to join the celebration for the great work of NBCTs.

Announcement for 2015-2016 New and Renewing NBCT Candidates
National Board Certification is not just a personal and professional achievement, it can be the beginning of new leadership opportunities.
Through the UCPS Human Resources National Board Support Program, candidates receive a support session each month with access to National Board Certified Teachers serving as mentors and coaches.
Location: Walter Bickett Education Center, Room 1 at 3:30 pm.
