Student Recognition Programs

Criteria - The Terrific Kid Program at Fairview Elementary School is a program that honors students that display or exemplify the character education trait for that month.

One student is chosen by his/her classrom teacher once a month to receive this award.  The program is sponsored by the Kiwanis Club of Union County.

Recognition - One Wednesday morning per month, the Terrific Kids and their parents are invited to the school for a ceremony. The Kiwanis Club provides certificates and a packet of "goodies" for each student selected as a Terrific Kid.  These items are presented during the ceremony as each student is individually recognized for their achievement.

This program will consist of one student being chosen out of each classroom who has improved the most academically or behaviorally.  The Most Improved Students of the month will be attending a popsicle party with Mrs. Seighman. Certificates will be handed out to these students and the teacher will indicate on the certificate the area in which each student has been awarded for improvement.  This will be sent home for parents to see & celebrate at home as well.
