Hey PRES Family!

My name is Traci Rider, and I am thrilled to be a part of Porter Ridge Elementary as the Media Specialist! I attended Montreat College, Winthrop University, and the Queens University of Charlotte, where I achieved a BA in English with a 9-12 teaching license, an M.Ed. in Educational Media with a K-12 license, and a license in K-12 Administration.  During my career, I have taught High School English, been a Dean of Students, and, best of all, a Media Specialist.  I live in Matthews with my husband, a high-school-aged son, and four fur babies!  

Reading is my passion; I love seeing students engage with books and develop a love of reading!  Here’s to a great 2023-2024 school year!
