Mrs. Elizabeth Griffin, Operational Assistant Principal
Mrs. Griffin grew up in Bayport, New York and graduated from SUNY College at Cortland with her Bachelors of Arts in Elementary Education (1999) then her Masters of Education in Reading (K-12) in 2000. She moved to NC a few weeks after she graduated and she started teaching in CMS. Mrs. Griffin then attended UNCC and received her Post Graduate Certification in Administration.
After 9 years in CMS, she moved to teaching in UCPS at Rocky River Elementary School. She has worked in several elementary schools as a teacher and curriculum coordinator. She was finally blessed with an opportunity to become an Assistant Principal at the Health Sciences Academy at Monroe Middle School in December of 2015.
She has 3 wonderfully energetic children who attend New Town Elementary School. Her son Nate is the oldest and her twins, Isabelle and Jackson are 18 months younger than Nate is. They make her days busy and fun!
