Mrs. Jacqueline Pollard, Assistant Principal
Mrs. Jacqueline Pollard is also a new assistant principal at Parkwood Middle this year. Although she is originally from Southern California, she is officially a graduate of Union County. When she was a rising senior her family relocated here, and Mrs. Pollard completed her high school education at Weddington High School.
Mrs. Pollard continued her education in North Carolina, attending UNC Charlotte for her K-12 Special Education degree and Wingate University for a master’s in Educational Leadership.
Devoted to serving as a Special Education teacher, Ms. Pollard began her career at Wingate Elementary where she taught for five years. Her passion for helping students grow led her to be an administrator for UCPS summer reading camps for two consecutive years.
Outside of school, Mrs. Pollard and her husband of five years enjoy being outdoors and spending time with their labradoodle. They lead an active lifestyle, enjoy activities such as tennis, golf, camping and hiking.
Parkwood Middle School is excited to welcome a Union County graduate to the administration and Mrs. Pollard says, “I am very excited to be joining the Parkwood community and am eager to get to know our wonderful students and families. I am positive I will see great things happening here at Parkwood.”
