Hello Pirate Family!  I am Mrs. Conway, and I am happy to introduce myself as the 7th Grade School Counselor at Porter Ridge Middle School.  I want to welcome all of my 7th grade students and families!  I have been a school counselor at PRMS off and on for over eleven years and am so happy to call this place home!

        I grew up in Canton, Michigan.  I received my Communications degree from Western Michigan University.  I received my M.A in School Counseling in 2006 from Oakland Michigan University.  I moved to North Carolina in 2006 with my husband and began my school counseling career.  We live here in the Porter Ridge community with our children, Benjamin and Abigail.

            The focus of my practice is to help students be successful academically, emotionally, and socially – both in school and in life. I believe that we (families, students, the school system, and the community) must work together to support our future generation in becoming successful. I enjoy working with students individually and in small groups, as well as coordinating the whole school activities the counseling department provides.
