Dan Edwards, Assistant Principal

Mr. Dan Edwards joined the administrative staff at Piedmont as an assistant principal in August 2020.  Mr. Edwards has been with Union County Public Schools since 1996, where he started his career as a Biology teacher at Parkwood High School.  He transitioned into administration in 2000 and has worked at different schools and levels as an assistant principal.  Edwards earned his Bachelors degree from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and his Masters degree from Winthrop University.  Edwards' wife is a long-time resident of Union County, and he has two sons.  In addition, Edwards is a member of the North Carolina National Guard and returned from a deployment to the Middle East with the 30th ABCT "Old Hickory in August 2020.
