Beta Club
-
Beta Club is an academic honors club dedicated to service. The mission of National Senior Beta Club is to promote the ideals of academic achievement, character, service and leadership among secondary school students. The PRHS club is for 10th-12th grade students. We complete one service project each semester and members are required to complete a total of 20 service hours for the school year (10 hours must be completed each semester), an additional 10 hours over the summer, as well as maintain the minimum required unweighted GPA of 3.5 and attend club meetings.
Membership – sophomores and juniors who have earned the required unweighted GPA of 3.5 will receive an invitation to apply to the PRHS chapter at the beginning of the school year. Students will then need to complete the Student Application process, including the completion of the application form and two teacher recommendations from core subject areas (English, History, Science, and Math). Accepted students will need to pay a membership fee of $25.
