Mr. Ronnie West, Asst Principal
Ronnie West is proud to serve as an Assistant Principal at Forest Hills. Mr. West was born and raised in Aiken, SC, and is a graduate of the University of South Carolina. He earned his B.S. degree in Biology and MAT in Secondary Education while at USC. Mr. West began his career in the Fort Mill School District. There he served as an 8th grade Science teacher, basketball coach, and Grade level team lead.
Mr. West earned his Education Leadership degree from Winthrop University in 2009. His first leadership experice was as Dean of Students for the Charlotte-Mecklenburg School District. He then joined the staff of Forest Hills High as their Student Development Coordinator. Mr. West believes that building positive relationships and nuturing our natural curiosity about the world around us are the foundation of a successful school.
Mr. West is married to Naomi; they have one child, a daughter, Maddox. When he is not spending valuable time with his family, Mr. West enjoys singing with the Men's choir at his church, listening to NPR, and Gamecock Football.
