    UCVirtual Teachers in Residence

     
    UCVirtual Teachers in Residence are full time UCPS employees that visit virtual labs on a regular basis. They utilize the UCPS blended learning model, the Canvas Learning Management System and a variety of UCPS supported Web 2.0 tools. Students in these courses are supported in person (or face to face) by our UCVirtual teachers and school based lab facilitators. UCVirtual Teachers in Residence implement of a wide variety of blended learning strategies including, but not limited to, small group discussions, one-on-one teaching, one-on-one remediation, virtual instruction and virtual feedback.

    UCVirtual Teacher Adjuncts are part time UCPS employees and support students outside of the traditional school day. Our adjunct teachers utilize the UCPS distance learning model, the Canvas Learning Management System and a variety of UCPS supported Web 2.0 tools. While students in these courses receive support from their assigned teacher in a virtual learning environment, they also get in person (or face to face) support from full time UCVirtual teachers and school based lab facilitators.

    Students are monitored in the distance learning labs by UCPS Lab Facilitators. The programs our Lab Facilitators support include UCVirtual, NCVPS, Odysseyware and Career and College Promise. Lab Facilitators support students by helping them plan out daily work, solve technical issues, and explore tutoring options at their home school. Our facilitators also work closely with the student's assigned virtual teacher regarding course progress, individual student questions and other online learning concerns.
