    Purpose:

    -Serve in the community and school.

    -Helps make our school an even more fun and exciting place to be.

    -The PDMS School Student Council plans and organizes events for middle school students.

    Meeting Days:

    Meetings are held the First and Third Monday of each Month.

    About Student Council:

    The PDMS Student Council consists of students in Grades 6-8. Membership is based on student votes, teacher input and passing grades. 

    Qualities necessary for any member on student council are:

       o   Leadership skills – Willing to lead committees and be a representative for your class.

       o   Creative – Able to think of new and exciting activities and fundraisers for the student council.

       o   Communicative – Willing to share ideas with other student council members, your class and all of middle school.

       o   Team player – Willing to work as a team to generate ideas and organize events for the Student Council.

       o   Responsibility – Responsible for running activities throughout the school and you must be reliable.

       o   Commitment – This is a year- long activity and if you volunteer now, you will be expected to come to all meetings for the    remainder of the year. You are only permitted to miss only 3 meetings, if this does not fit into your schedule, please do not volunteer.

    Benefits of Participating

    Students should consider this Extra Curricular Activity (ECA) because it helps to build character, leadership, decision making, organization skills and responsibility.
