Mr. Chad Turner, Assistant Principal
Mr. Chad Turner is one of the Assistant Principals at Parkwood Middle. He is originally from Cabarrus County where he lives with his lovely wife, Luci, his son Zachary and daughter Raegan. Mr. Turner isn’t the only member of the family devoted to education – his wife teaches 6th grade English in their home county.
Mr. Turner earned his undergraduate degree from Wingate University and earned his master’s in Administration from Gardner Webb, he began teaching Marketing at West Charlotte and North Meck High Schools.
Mr. Turner made his debut in Union County Public Schools at Piedmont High school in 2004, where he was the Freshmen Academy administrator. Following his two years at Piedmont High, Mr. Turner spent six years as the assistant principal at CC Griffin Middle School. Prior to Parkwood he was serving the South Providence community an assistant principal.
While the Turner family loves being involved in education – it isn’t their only passion. Mr. Turner and his wife enjoy exercising and traveling. Football is also one of Mr. Turner’s favorite pass times, as he is not only a season ticket holder for the Carolina Panthers, but also referees for high school football games.
Mr. Turner has served many communities during his career as an educator. When asked about Parkwood, he stated, “I am very excited to be a part of the Parkwood Middle family. I feel like I am back home. I look forward to a great year!”
