Dr. Angela Foster (Principal)
About Dr. Foster
Dr. Angela Foster is originally from Lake City, South Carolina where she graduated from the Florence School District #3 public school system. She earned her undergraduate degree in Elementary Education from the University of South Carolina system in 2001 and a Masters’ Degree in Elementary Education and Early Childhood Education with an endorsement in Gifted Education from Converse College in 2005. In 2013, she earned a Master's Level Certification in School Administration from Wingate University and completed the doctoral program at Wingate University in 2021 earning an education specialist degree and a doctorate in educational leadership.
Dr. Foster was named the Union County Public School’s Assistant Principal of the Year for the 2019-2020 school year. She is entering her 21st year in education and is honored to serve as the principal of Marshville Elementary School. She previously taught for 12 years as an elementary school teacher in grades three through five and served seven years as a middle school assistant principal at East Union Middle School and Monroe Middle School.
Dr. Foster resides in Union County and has three daughters a grandson, and a granddaughter. Her two youngest daughters graduated from Piedmont High School in 2020 and 2018; while, her oldest daughter graduated from Weddington High School in 2010. Away from work, she enjoys traveling, attending Carolina Panthers games, spending quality time with family and friends, and serving as the second vice-president of her high school alumni association.
Dr. Foster is fully invested and continues to have a deep commitment to the students, families, staff, and members of the Marshville community. She continues to look forward to the many positive and rewarding years to come and strives to develop and grow all students in order to support them on their paths to being college and career-ready.

Courtney Luce (Assistant Principal)
About Ms. Luce
Welcome, Courtney Luce to Marshville Elementary!
Courtney Luce is originally from Knoxville, Tennessee. She attended Wingate University where she received her undergraduate degree in Elementary Education in 2006. She is currently working on her Master's degree in School Administration from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte through the Principal Fellows program.
Ms. Luce has been a part of Union County Public Schools for 16 years. She was a classroom teacher at Unionville Elementary for 15 years where she taught 2nd, 4th, and 5th grades. She then served as an Assistant Principal Intern at Stallings Elementary before being named the Assistant Principal at Marshville Elementary.
Away from work, she enjoys relaxing at the beach, cheering on her Tennessee Volunteers, spending time with family and friends, and fostering dogs for local animal shelters.
Ms. Luce is committed to fostering an enthusiasm for learning with the students at Marshville Elementary and is dedicated to helping them grow into lifelong learners. She is excited about serving the families, students, staff, and members of the Marshville community.
