Mrs. Carole Alley, Principal
Carole Alley is Principal at Parkwood High School. Mrs. Alley earned her B.A. in Education from UNC Chapel Hill. She also holds a Masters of Art in Education from UNC Chapel Hill and a certificate in Educational Leadership from Wingate University.
Prior to joining Parkwood High School, Mrs. Alley served as an Assistant Principal at Monroe High School. She also served for five years as Athletic Director at Weddington High School where she was a Career and Technical Education teacher. In addition to teaching, she coached volleyball. Mrs. Alley is certified to teach Spanish, social studies, business and marketing.
Mrs. Alley is married to Tom and has two children, Jordan (WHS Class of 2004), and Joanna (WHS Class of 2007). Her daughter, Jordan, is a 4th grade teacher and her younger daughter, Joanna, works as an environmental engineer in Matthews. Both are graduates of Union County Public Schools. Mrs. Alley is originally from Lagrange, Georgia. She enjoys spending time with her family, watching sporting events, reading, gardening and traveling.
