Chad Turner (Seventh Grade Assistant Principal)
About Mr. Turner
I am excited to be joining the Porter Ridge family. I am originally from Cabarrus County, Harrisburg, where I live with my lovely wife, Luci. I have two children a son Zachary and a daughter Raegan. I am not the only member of the family devoted to education – my wife teaches 6th grade English Language Arts in Cabarrus County.
I earned my undergraduate degree from Wingate University and earned my master’s in School Administration from Gardner Webb, I began my teaching career teaching Marketing at West Charlotte and North Mecklenburg High Schools.
I started my career in administration at Piedmont High School in Union County in 2004, where I was the Freshmen Academy administrator. Following my two years at Piedmont High, I have served as assistant principal at CC Griffin Middle School, South Providence, and Parkwood Middle School.
While the Turner family loves being involved in education – it isn’t our only passion. My wife and I enjoy exercising and traveling. My hobbies include playing golf and grilling. Football is one of my favorite pass times, as I am not only a season ticket holder for the Carolina Panthers, but also referee high school football.
I look forward to joining the Porter Ridge family and working with your outstanding staff.
