Mrs. Jennifer Parker is excited to be a member of the Rea View community! She has resided in Indian Trail for 23 years with her husband, Todd, and her two daughters, Mackenzie and Addison.
Mrs. Parker attended college at UNC-Charlotte, where she received a BA in K-6 Education. Mrs. Parker began her teaching career as a fourth-grade teacher in CMS. After her first year of teaching, she looped up to fifth grade with her class and remained a fifth-grade teacher for the next seven years.
In 2006, Mrs. Parker decided to move to middle school to teach English Language Arts. She taught sixth and eighth grade ELA.
In 2008, Mrs. Parker became a Literacy Facilitator focusing on 3-5 Literacy. She focused on differentiating curriculum while working with beginning teachers by creating and implementing professional development to meet the needs of both teachers and students.
Mrs. Parker completed her Masters of Educational Leadership in May 2012 from Gardner Webb University. In 2013, Mrs. Parker accepted a position at UNCC in the College of Education working with student teachers. She supervised student teachers and taught reading courses in the Department of Elementary and Reading Education.
She became an Assistant Principal at Sun Valley Elementary in 2015 and she is looking forward to growing the students at Rea View Elementary to become leaders and college and career ready! #BuildingLeadership #BeTheBest
Mrs. McGee is happy to be a part of the Rea View Elementary family! She has transferred to this position after being the assistant principal at Western Union Elementary for the last six years. She previously attended Clemson University for her undergraduate degree before teaching for nine years in South Carolina. She then received her master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Wingate University. She joined Union County Public Schools in 2011. She currently lives in South Charlotte.
