Dr. Elenia Daniels, Principal
Dr. Elenia Daniels is originally from Jacksonville, North Carolina where she received her primary education through the Onslow County Public School System. Dr. Daniels' collegiate record includes a Bachelor's of Arts, History, and a Master's of Science in Human Resource Counseling from North Carolina Agricultural & Technical State University in Greensboro, NC. In addition, Dr. Daniels earned a Doctorate of Education in Educational Leadership from Nova Southeastern University. She began her career in 2002 providing student support services within the Charlotte Mecklenburg School System as a Rehabilitation Counselor for Vocational Rehabilitation Services. Prior to joining Walter Bickett Elementary School, she served for six years as an Assistant Principal for several high schools in the district. She also was the founding Lead Guidance Counselor of Cuthbertson High School in Waxhaw, NC and prior to that she began her tenure with Union County Public Schools as a Guidance Counselor at Parkwood High School. Dr. Daniels is a Licensed Professional Counselor with the state of North Carolina, who expanded her leadership capacities in 2011 completing an Add-on License in School Administration from Wingate University.
Dr. Daniels lives within the Porter Ridge cluster with her husband Douglas and children Douglas II and Dorian. Dr. Daniels states, "I am honored to serve the students and staff of Walter Bickett Elementary, my professional goal is to facilitate academic growth utilizing various curricula and methodology, such that students have the tools necessary to be competitive on a world stage. I believe in providing a safe learning environment and promoting a solid academic foundation so that all students can reach their true potential.”
