Ms. Constance Kelly


Ms. Kelly has taught eleven years in North Carolina working with elementary, middle and  high school students in  a variety of settings. She has her Masters degree from Winthrop University and earned her administrative license through Wingate University. She has taught at Waxhaw Elementary, Weddington Middle School and  Walter Oaks School, a residential treatment facility. She was an assistant principal at Sandy Ridge Elementary for two years working  with Mr. Childers before her transfer to WBES in 2009. Ms. Kelly considers it an honor to be working at Antioch Elementary.

She has been nationally certified by AdvancED to chair accreditation teams and has enjoyed her participation on such visits. Ms. Kelly has been a certified trainer for  Non-Violent Crisis Intervention. She received two levels of training from the Comer School Development Program at Yale University. She also continues her membership with the North Carolina Association for  Supervision and Curriculum Development. Ms. Kelly was a member of the first cohort for Growing  Leaders From Within, a UCPS school executive program.

Ms. Kelly has lived in Union County for twenty-five years. She is  the mother of four grown children and enjoys spending time with her family and pet, Ellie, a vivacious jack russell terror/terrier. She also enjoys a wide variety of activities outside the school setting.
