Mrs. Julia Rackley-Sixth Grade Assistant Principal

Julia Rackley has been an educator for many years. She began her career teaching first grade in her hometown of Aurora, Missouri. After moving to North Carolina in 2002, Mrs. Rackley was a reading interventionist at Marshville Elementary in UCPS. She coordinated and oversaw Title I programs at the school site. She also held the positions of Assistant Principal and Principal at Marshville Elementary. She was an Assistant Principal at Indian Trail Elementary for one year. Mrs. Rackley has been an Assistant Principal at New Town Elementary and Kensington Elementary since 2018.

Mrs. Rackley earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Missouri State University where she has certifications in French, Library Science and Elementary Education. She earned her Master of Arts in Educational Leadership from Wingate University in 2009.

Mrs. Rackley and her husband reside in Monroe. She has two grown daughters who are UCPS graduates and one granddaughter. Mrs. Rackley is thrilled to be staying in the Cuthbertson Cluster and is looking forward to the transition to middle school!
