Mrs. Julia Rackley - Assistant Principal

Mrs. Rackley received a Bachelor's Degree in French and Library Science with additional certification in Elementary Education from Southwest Missouri State University in Springfield, Missouri. She holds a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership/Administration from Wingate University.

Mrs. Rackley has many years of experience in education. She spent the first sixteen years of her career teaching first grade in her hometown of Aurora, Missouri. After moving to North Carolina in 2002, Mrs. Rackley taught Title I Reading for kindergarten through fifth grade students and was Title I Coordinator at Marshville Elementary for six years before moving into Administration. She has had a variety of rich experiences throughout her educational career, which have allowed her the opportunity to participate in many aspects of a school as well as interact with a variety of schools and populations. She has participated in mentoring programs and pilot programs throughout her career. She is passionate about students and what they have the ability to achieve!

Mrs. Rackley is a member of several educational organizations and a member of P.E.O., which is a Philanthropic Educational Organization. This organization supports Cottey College, an independent, liberal arts college for women in Nevada, Missouri.

Mrs. Rackley and her husband, Ray, have been married for 31 years. They reside in Monroe. They have two daughters. Allison is 26 and is a UNC-Chapel Hill graduate and a recent graduate of the University of Oregon School of Law in Eugene, Oregon.   Morgan is 25 and is an East Carolina University graduate. She currently attends graduate school at the University of South Carolina.
