Mrs. Lindsay Merritt
Lindsay Merritt received her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in 2007, with a concentration in English and Communications and her Master’s degree in Reading and Literacy also form UNCC in 2014. She is currently enrolled at Wingate University completing clinical hours for an add-on degree in School Leadership.
Lindsay has had the opportunity to teach across North Carolina, in Macon County, Rowan Salisbury Schools, and Cabarrus County, before coming to UCPS as an Instructional Content Facilitator for the Elementary Education Department. Lindsay has had the opportunity to present professional development at the North Carolina State Reading Conference, Collaborate on several published books through Corwin publishers, as well as teach for a day in Brooklyn, NY through the Columbia University Teachers College.
Lindsay grew up in Union County and now resides in Midland with her husband Andrew, and her 3 beautiful children, Lilly (8), Landry (4), and Finleigh (2). She enjoys traveling to places with a rich history, as well as spending time with her family and volunteering at several outreach partnerships. Lindsay is very excited to bring her love for instruction as well as a genuine love for the community, and those families within it, with her to Marshville Elementary.
