Dr. Elenia Daniels is an Assistant Principal at Porter Ridge High School. She is originally from Jacksonville, North Carolina and received her primary education through the Onslow County Public School System. Dr. Daniels' collegiate record includes a Bachelor's of Arts, History, a Master's of Science, Human Resource Counseling from North Carolina Agricultural & Technical State University in Greensboro, NC. In addition, Dr. Daniels earned a Doctorate of Education in Educational Leadership from Nova Southeastern University. Dr. Daniels transitioned into leadership with over 10 years of experience. She began her career in 2002 providing student support services within the Charlotte Mecklenburg School System as a Rehabilitation Counselor for Vocational Rehabilitation Services. Prior to joining the Porter Ridge High School team, she served for four years as the founding Lead Guidance Counselor of Cuthbertson High School in Waxhaw, NC and prior to that began her tenure within Union County Public School's system as a Guidance Counselor at Parkwood High School. Dr. Daniels is a Licensed Professional Counselor with the state of North Carolina, who expanded her leadership abilities in 2011 completing an Add-on License in School Administration from Wingate University.
Dr. Daniels lives in the Porter Ridge cluster with her husband Douglas and children Douglas II and Dorian. Dr. Daniels, states "I am extremely excited to have the opportunity to service and support the community in which I live. My professional goal is to facilitate academic growth utilizing various curricula and methodology, such that students can understand advances in global technology to be competitive on a world stage. I believe in providing a safe learning environment and promoting academic achievement such that students can see their true potential."
