Mrs. Geraldine Bacchus

Mrs. Bacchus began her teaching career working for the New York City School System.  In 2000 when she relocated to North Carolina with her husband Jerry Sr., daughter Samantha and son Jerry Jr she began working for the Union County Public Schools.

Her focus while working for Union County was teaching kindergarten and first grade. She also served as literacy intervention K-5, Math intervention 3-5, summer school teacher and more recently Assistant Principal. Working in these positions provided Ms. Bacchus the opportunities to develop her leadership skills that allowed her to better instruct students, manage behavior, assess progress, encourage student learning and help colleagues implement best practices.

Mrs. Bacchus considers herself an instructional leader who thrives on being involved in the learning process for children and adults. To further facilitate her passion for education leadership she is involved with educational opportunities away from work to enhance her leadership skills.

She earned a Elementary Education from City University of New York and a Masters Degree from Pfeiffer University. She is also National Board Certified.
