Union County Public Schools received a three-year $27 million grant from the U.S. Department of Education’s Teacher and School Leader (TSL) Incentive Program. The grant will provide funding to support, train, and reward excellent teachers and school leaders.
UCPS is one of only 14 school districts in the country, and the only district in the state, to receive the TSL grant. Through a program called Educator Performance Incentive and Career Pathways (EPIC), 13 high-priority UCPS schools will use the funding to implement a performance-based compensation system that promotes more effective teaching and school leadership.
