    • 15 teachers are National Board Certified and 32 staff members have Advanced Degrees.
    • In 2018-2019, students in Piedmont Career and Technical Education courses and programs earned a total of 959 industry-recognized certifications or credentials. 
    • Career & Technical Education Academies:  Public Safety and Nurse Aide. 
    • Annual 100% pass rate on Certified Nurse Aide I exam.
    • Member of the Southern Carolina 3A Athletic Conference.  Women's teams: Volleyball, tennis, cross country, cheerleading, basketball, track & field, swimming, softball, soccer, and golf.  Men's teams:  Football, tennis, cross country, wrestling, basketball, track & field, swimming, baseball, soccer, and golf. 
    • Wrestling program has won 5 Team State Titles since 2012, State runner-up in 2010 and 2011; 13 Regional Titles (5 Dual Team & 8 Individual Team) since 2010; 6 Individuals State Titles since 2010; 34 State Placer Winners by 21 different individuals since 2010; and 11 consecutive Conference Championships.  
    • Over 30 extracurricular clubs are available for student participation.
    • Break the Silence Club was started in 2019 as an initiative to address the social and emotional needs of our students.
    • Piedmont’s Chapter of National Art Honor Society began 29 years ago and now has over 50 students annually who want to make a difference in the world through their passion of art. 
    • Air Force Junior ROTC at Piedmont High School was a recipient of the Distinguished Unit Award with Merit, the highest national award offered for Junior ROTC units.
    • The Pride of Piedmont marching band is celebrating its 50th anniversary during the 2019-2020 school year.  During the 2018 marching season, the band won the following competition awards: 3 Second Place Awards; 19 First Place Awards; 5 Superior Rating Awards and 2 Grand Champion Awards.
    • Piedmont currently has one visiting exchange student from Italy.
