East Union Middle School NC Report Card
Dear Students, Parents and Friends:
Welcome to East Union Middle School. Our mission is to educate each of our students to be prepared for the challenges they will face in the future. There are many positive changes taking place here at East Union, including the creation of a new Agricultural Academy and in-school tutoring for 7th grade students in math.
Report cards are provided for regular public schools, charter schools, and alternative schools. The information in the report card is from the 2016-2017 school year.
East Union Middle School made gains in multiple areas, including 8th grade reading and Math I during the 2016-2017 school year. Although gains were made, a gap remains between many of our students and those in other Union County Public Schools and across the state of North Carolina.
We are supporting teachers though grade level collaboration in order to implement a vertically aligned instructional program. Teachers will implement the standards from the North Carolina Course of Study utilizing Union County Public Schools curricular resources.
Stakeholder engagement is a priority for our campus. The East Union PTO is committed to establishing a forum for discuss pressing school concerns on a range of topics and services.
Please feel free to contact me directly to discuss this report card or any other interests you have in our school. Thank you for allowing me the opportunity to lead, while always serving the students, staff and families at East Union Middle School.
