Wesley Chapel Elementary School NC Report Card
Dear Wesley Chapel Parents and Friends,
Thank you for taking the time to visit this site to learn more about North Carolina's school accountability program and Wesley Chapel Elementary School. We understand that the information provided here is important to our school, parents, and community.
For the first time since North Carolina instituted a letter grade system, Wesley Chapel is an A school! We are extremely proud of our students, teachers, parents, and community partners. This type of accomplishment takes a village!
The North Carolina Report Card includes important information about school and student performance, class size, attendance, school safety, instructional resources, and teacher quality. Report card data is available for each school, for each school district, and for the state’s educational system as a whole. The report cards are available on the web at http://www.ncreportcards.org.
The faculty and administration of Wesley Chapel Elementary School are committed to making a difference in the lives of our students. In order to maximize student growth and individual success, each child receives instruction based on their current academic level. This is accomplished by providing our students with intervention/remediation sessions, STEAM classes and events, grade level educational field trips, peer tutoring, small group and individual instruction, including math problem solving sessions, and buddy classes. We strive to provide a comprehensive instructional program, monitor students' progress, and communicate with parents on a regular basis to maintain student success.
As a PBIS school, students are recognized for individual growth and success through the Terrific Kids program, Honor Roll recognitions, Flight Cards, the Spelling Bee, positive office referrals, and a 5th grade Academic Achievement Awards ceremony. Classes can earn Golden Eagle Wings for great attendance and receive whole-group recognition for strong performance and behavior from our specials area teachers.
Our students expand their horizons by participating in our extensive after school clubs, which include Wesley Chapel After-School Enrichment Program (WASEP), Rugby, Girls on the Run, DreamChasers, Good News Club, Yearbook Club, Battle of the Books, and Student Council. We believe that these activities encourage life-long learning skills and health and wellness in our students.
Our strong Parent/Teacher Organization is actively involved in the life of our school and makes Wesley Chapel Elementary a better place to learn, grow, and thrive. They host multiple spirit nights, provide special recognition through awards and other activities, lead fundraising efforts, run the school store, organize parent/student events, help fund instructional materials and safety initiatives, and provide teacher celebrations and appreciations. Dozens of volunteers assist in various ways throughout the school.
The Wesley Chapel Eagles are working together with our school community and parents to nurture student growth and development each day. The faculty and staff at Wesley Chapel appreciate collaborating with our school community and parents as we prepare our students for present and future successes! Our Eagles soar to great heights!
