Wingate Elementary School NC Report Card

  • Dear Wildcat Parents:

Thank you for taking the time to learn more about North Carolina's READY accountability program and Wingate Elementary School. While test scores are one way to measure accountability and success, there are many other indicators of school quality that are important to parents and community members. Our students continue to experience great success in middle school after leaving us, and we are again a UCPS Global Partners School. In addition, we continue to improve our parent and community involvement.

The North Carolina School Report Card includes important information about school and student performance, class sizes, attendance, school safety, instructional resources, and teacher quality. There also is general information about our school’s instructional technology and the number of suspensions and expulsions which we are continuing to decrease through professional developments for our staff (Safe and Civil Schools) and through our Positive Behavior Intervention System which helps teach students how to be better students and citizens. Report data is available for our school district and for the state’s education system as a whole.

State and local education leaders are committed to providing parents with more information about schools. Well-informed parents who participate in their children’s education and school enhance the learning environment for students and educators alike.

At Wingate Elementary your involvement is very important to the success of our school! Please feel free to contact the school to discuss this report card or any other interests you may have in the education of our wonderful students. The faculty and staff at Wingate appreciate your support as we strive to prepare every child for success, every day!

    Mr. Maxie Johnson Jr, Principal

    Wingate Elementary
