Red Ribbon Week is October 22-26!
Red Ribbon week is the nation’s oldest and largest drug prevention program, reaching millions of Americans during the last week of October every year. Red Ribbon Week is celebrated annually October 23-31 all over the country. By participating in our spirit days next week, students are pledging to live a drug-free lifestyle.
This year’s theme is: Life is your journey, travel drug free! We will celebrate next week with the following spirit days:
Monday – Wear red day (staff and students wear red)
Tuesday – Sock it to Drugs Day (staff and students can wear crazy socks)
Wednesday – Put a Cap on Drugs Day (staff and students can wear any kind of hat they would like)
Thursday – Be on a Drug Free Team Day (staff and students can wear their favorite team jersey or shirt/sweatshirt)
There will be a school dance next Friday, October 19th from 4:00-6:00pm. Admission is $5.00. Tickets will be sold during lunch.

Students in 7th Grade Social Studies are bringing their learning to life with active simulations! Simulations in the social studies classrooms at East Union Middle School provide opportunities for students to act out historical events, human social behavior, and economic principles using game-like play.
It’s hard to believe the 2017-2018 school year is almost over! We have had a successful year and are so sad to see it go. We’ve made many memories that we wouldn’t want to lose! The yearbook staff has worked hard to create a space to hold onto the wonderful things we’ve done this year. The yearbooks are still for sale at EU or online at www.yearbookforever.com.
