  • We Moved out of Low-Performing Status!

    The North Carolina School Accountability and Grading System was established in 2014, and East Union Middle School has been deemed low-performing since then. After 10 straight years of low-performing status, we exceeded expectations during the 2023-2024 school year. I am proud to announce that East Union Middle School has exited low-performing status!  - Jared Gatewood, Principal, EUMS

  • Important Information for Current 6th Graders Regarding Tdap and Meningococcal Vaccine:

    North Carolina law mandates that all children entering the 7th grade are required to have a Tdap and meningococcal conjugate vaccine. Tdap covers your child for tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis, also known as whooping cough. Meningococcal vaccine is given to help prevent meningitis. Please bring in proof from your health care provider with the date the vaccines were given.

    Anuncio importante para los estudiantes que actualmente están en 6to grado sobre la vacuna Tdap y la vacuna contra la Meningitis.

    La ley de Carolina del Norte establece que todos los niños que ingresan a 7mo grado tengan la vacuna Tdap y la vacuna conjugada contra el Meningococo.

    La vacuna Tdap cubre a su hijo contra el Tétanos, la Difteria y Pertussis, también conocida como Tosferina. La vacuna meningocócica se administra para ayudar a prevenir la meningitis. Por favor, traiga un comprobante de su proveedor de atención médica con la fecha en que se administraron las vacunas.

  • Photo IDs are required when checking out students.

    Parents, when you are checking out a student, you must show a photo ID and be on your students’ guardian or emergency contacts page. Make sure anyone who should be able to sign out your student is on your list. Early checkouts are only allowed until 3:30.
