Marshville Elementary is a School of Choice!
Through School Choice, parents may apply for admission through lottery to 14 elementary schools. The schools of choice have been identified because the student population is less than 90 percent of the capacity, as determined by the district.
Once a transfer has been granted under School Choice, it will remain in effect until the terminal grade in that school location (5th, 8th and 12th). Transportation is not provided for students who accept a transfer through School Choice.
To apply for the lottery for the elementary schools of choice, parents must complete an online application through Scribbles. The application period is Feb. 8 – March 31.
During the application period, parents will receive updates through Scribbles on the status of their request. Parents will be notified about the final decision for their child’s assignment by April 9.
Title I Parent & Family Advisory Council
We are seeking parents and family members of children attending Title I schools to serve on our district Parent and Family Advisory Council. Council members will provide input and feedback on Title I programming and assist with other activities throughout the year. If you are interested in participating in this engagement opportunity, please enter your information here.
In order to ensure student safety and keep parents informed, it is important to keep student contact information up to date. Please remember to contact the school office with any changes in your phone number or address. Updates will need to be submitted in writing.
Would you like to make a difference at Marshville Elementary?
- We are seeking registered Union County Public School volunteers to visit our school once a week to read with a 1st grade student for 30 minutes each week between 7:30-8:10 a.m., 8:30-9:00 a.m. and 1:25-1:55 p.m.
- Times can be selected by the volunteer and will then be communicated with the child’s classroom teacher. You do not have to be an educator to offer your service-just willingness and passion to read with a student is enough to positively impact a child through reading and being a role model.
