Book Drive!!! Our Goal.... Over 3000 books!!!!

So clean off those shelves and pass on the love of reading!

We are collecting new and gently used Pre-K through 5th grade books for the students at Title 1 Elementary Schools in Union County. These books will provide a personal library of books to keep at home for each student.

Many of these students have no books to call their very own - greatly influencing their ability to learn and excel at reading. And we need your help!

WHEN: Mon., Feb. 12 - Fri., Feb. 23

HOW: Bring your donations to school and drop off in the bins that are on the tables outside the media doors near the pit.

  • According to Carolina School Hub, Marvin Ridge Middle School is ranked #5 out of 133 middle schools in the Charlotte metro region and #11 out of 700 middle schools in the state. There are just two traditional/non-charter/non-magnet schools in the Charlotte metro area which rank above us, and only three traditional/non-charter/non-magnet schools in the state which rank above us. WOW! Everyone on this team is to be commended for that stellar news. Here’s a link with the full rankings:http://www.carolinaschoolhub.com/best-middle-schools-charlotte-nc.cfm.
