UCPS Latino Outreach Recognition
Mr. Gustavo Arevalo, Latino Outreach Coordinator was recognized by the Southpark Lions Club on Friday, July 12 at their Annual Awards & Installation Banquet. Mr. Jim Sasser, District Governor, presented Mr. Arevalo with a plaque in recognition for his role in the implementation of programs that benefit UCPS students and their families.

UCPS Latino students attended the 2017 Hispanic Educational Summit in Raleigh, NC on Friday, March, 31st at The McKimmon Conference Center at the North Carolina State University. The Summit is organized by the North Carolina Society of Hispanic Professionals. The Summit’s main objective is to promote the value of education amongst Latino youth. This amazing educational experience exposes students to a wide range of diverse options they have as they work to pursue an education after high school.
