  • EOG Pep Rally!

    Who is going to work hard on the upcoming EOG’s? Poplin students, that’s who! Third, fourth, and fifth graders joined Mrs. Earp, Mr. Watts, and teachers in an EOG Pep Rally today. Students learned how important it is to get a good night’s sleep, eat a healthy breakfast, to take your time while taking the test, and to be present on test days.

  • Poplin Artists on Display!

    Aubrey Davis, a fifth grader in Ashley Whited’s class had a piece of her artwork selected to be on permanent display at the Indian Trail Town Hall! In addition to having her artwork framed, Aubrey was presented a certificate on May 14, 2019. Check out this article from the Town of Indian Trail website. On Friday, May 24th Poplin will have it’s annual Talent Show and Art Walk. All Poplin students will have artwork on display throughout the school beginning Friday, May 24. Families are invited to come and enjoy the artwork along with the Talent Show.

  • Staff Spotlight: Cristy Davis

    This week’s Staff Spotlight is about Cristy Davis who teaches Kindergarten. This is Davis’s first year teaching at Poplin and she has taught for 20 years. When Ms. Davis is not teaching she loves traveling, photography, and watching movies.

  • Community Totem Pole Dedicated

    The Community Totem Pole was dedicated during a reception on Saturday, November 17, 2018. Students now in sixth grade at Porter Ridge Middle School and current Poplin students who worked on the project were invited along with their families to attend an unveiling of the project. During the dedication Mrs. Helms said, “I feel that it truly represents our community, not only in subject and sentiment, but also in the process.”
