  • Robotics Week!

    Mrs. Richmond & Mrs. Medlin partnered with the Union County Public Library for National Robotics Week for all students! Mrs. Richmond said, "we wanted to teach children problem-solving skills and collaboration skills."

  • Staff Spotlight: Amy Weddine

    This week’s Staff Spotlight is about Mrs. Weddine who has taught at Poplin for six years.  Also our Teacher of the Year, Mrs. Weddine enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, and watching her sons play lacrosse and daughter perform ballet.

  • Community Totem Pole Dedicated

    The Community Totem Pole was dedicated during a reception on Saturday, November 17, 2018. Students now in sixth grade at Porter Ridge Middle School and current Poplin students who worked on the project were invited along with their families to attend an unveiling of the project. During the dedication Mrs. Helms said, “I feel that it truly represents our community, not only in subject and sentiment, but also in the process.”

    Mrs. Whited, a fifth grade teacher, is the Staff Spotlight for this week! Mrs. Whited is originally from Ohio and has taught for eight years.

  • Welcome Mr. Watts!

    Mr. Randal Watts comes to Poplin from New Town Elementary where he worked in several roles. He started his career in education at Sun Valley High School as a science teacher for ten years.
