  • PRHS Club/Organization Schedule Announcements

    • Attention All Non-graduating NHS MembersPlease remember that you are required to complete 20 hours of community service over the summer to maintain your membership standing in the society. Please refer to our webpage for details about this. If you have any questions, please see Mr. Crider in F108 for clarification.

  • Teacher-Made Exam Info-High School students will not be required to take a teacher-made final exam in a course in the following situations:

    • The student has an average of 90 or above the week prior to the administration of the exam and has no more than 2 unexcused absences in the class; or
    • The student has an average of 80 or above the week prior to the administration of the exam and has no more than 1 unexcused absence in the class.

    Teacher made tests are defined as tests designed and graded by a UCPS teacher of record for the purpose of assigning an exam grade to a student. Exam exemptions only apply to teacher made tests and are not available in courses which require the administration of an End of Course or state mandated final exams. Students enrolled in AP courses will still be required to take the AP exam. Students are expected to take all other assessments given at the school.

  • PR Career Pathways-PRHS has a host of career pathways that support students as they select their courses throughout their high school years. Each of these pathways includes careers students can explore and related courses offered at PR and in UCPS. These pathways assist students in choosing courses as they prepare for future studies and the work force. From Animal Science to Arts and Education, PRHS has many courses a student can choose from as they plan for the future.   • Gauging Interest in the International Baccalaureate Pathways at PRHS

    On Monday night Principal Kim Fisenne held an informational meeting to gauge community interest in International Baccalaureate Programs at Porter Ridge High School in the future.  The programs being explored are the IB Diploma Pathway and the IB Career-related Pathway.  Please see the attached presentation and please make sure to complete the survey at the end so that we can determine interest in our community.

  • Free ACT Prep Info-Attention 11th grade students! This year all 11th grade students will participate in a very important test called the ACT. This test will provide valuable college information and count towards the overall accountability rating for Porter Ridge High School. In an effort to ensure our students are prepared and successful, Porter Ridge High School will offer a program called Method Test Prep. Method Test Prep is an online course that helps students build their SAT and ACT test prep skills.
