  • It's Time For The Sock Trot!

    Porter Ridge Athletic Boosters Club is hosting the 2nd Annual Sock Trot 5K to help support PR Athletic Programs and Heart For Monroe. Wear your wackiest pair of socks and help a great cause! We are partnering with Heart For Monroe and ask that participants bring new packs of clean, warm socks as a donation for those in need. Cost-$20 for Students; $30 for Individuals; $100 for Teacher Teams (Maximum 5 People. Only open to NC/SC Teachers, Staff and Administrators of Accredited School Systems)

  • PRHS Club/Organization Schedule Announcements

    • There will be an FBLA meeting on Wednesday, October 23rd at 7:30am in room F100. Tickets for the FBLA Spooktacular drawing will be distributed at this time. If you are unable to attend, please stop by F100 to pick up your tickets. Members should come see Ms. Ellis in F100 to receive the morning meeting pass to attend the club meeting that will be held on Wednesday, October 23rd at 7:30am in F100.
    • The Graphic Design Club will have a meeting after school on Wednesday, Oct 23rd in room E105C.
    • Attention all returning NHS members! The next meeting will be Oct 29th. It is at 7:35 am in the auditorium. This is a required meeting for all members. New members will get important information about their requirements for 2019-2020. You must clear any absence with Mr. Crider prior to the meeting.
    • Attention all Mu Alpha Theta (a.k.a. Math Honor Society) members! Our next meeting will be Tuesday, November 12, at 7:30 AM in E-210. We will be discussing our plans for the rest of the year. Be there or be A plus B squared.

  • PR Career Pathways-PRHS has a host of career pathways that support students as they select their courses throughout their high school years. Each of these pathways includes careers students can explore and related courses offered at PR and in UCPS. These pathways assist students in choosing courses as they prepare for future studies and the work force. From Animal Science to Arts and Education, PRHS has many courses a student can choose from as they plan for the future.   • Gauging Interest in the International Baccalaureate Pathways at PRHS

    On Monday night Principal Kim Fisenne held an informational meeting to gauge community interest in International Baccalaureate Programs at Porter Ridge High School in the future.  The programs being explored are the IB Diploma Pathway and the IB Career-related Pathway.  Please see the attached presentation and please make sure to complete the survey at the end so that we can determine interest in our community.
