  • Media Center's Winter 2020 Book Contest

    The Winter 2020 Book Contest is up and running! Click here to enter. Contest runs until Friday, Feb. 7th. One entry per student/staff. Prizes include a choice between Chick-Fil-A, Smoothie King, Chili's and Texas Roadhouse! Winners will be listed on the scrolling announcements that show in the cafeteria Monday, Feb. 10th Remember that you must be logged into your UCPS Google account to enter.

  • Student Council Leadership Class Applications

    Applications for the Student Council Leadership Class are now available right outside Ms. Yearick's room (E107). To apply for the class, you must currently be in 10th or 11th grade and in good standing regarding grades and conduct. Please see Ms. Yearick with questions. Completed applications are due January 29th by 3:00pm.

  • New Safety Feature Implemented!

    Beginning January 9, 2020, the main doors at PRHS will remain locked. Visitors will need to ring the doorbell by the front doors of the school at which time a school employee in the main office will utilize a camera system to provide access. All visitors must provide valid ID. We are excited to be implementing this additional safety feature at our school. Please contact the school if you have any questions.

  • Students Taking College Classes

    Students taking college classes - Beginning in January 2020, CCP students will be responsible for picking up and returning their textbooks for their SPCC courses. Please see your email for the information on how to pick up your books.

  • PRHS Club/Organization Schedule Announcements

    -Attention all NHS members! Your T3 community service hours are due no later than Jan. 17th at 3pm. You must submit your hours via the online form on our NHS Google page. If you have any questions, please see Mr. Crider in F108 before the due date.

    -Want to have some fun and learn some acting skills. Come join us for Improv Club every Tuesday from 3-4 in the auditorium.

  • Pirate Press-The main source of communication from school to home is the PIRATE PRESS - this is emailed to parents and students weekly to the email address on file.  If you are not receiving it, please call the school. We also post this on Facebook and our website.

    We have launched a new electronic flyer communication tool called Peachjar. To view school-approved digital flyers, simply click the Peachjar button on our website.

  • PR Career Pathways-PRHS has a host of career pathways that support students as they select their courses throughout their high school years. Each of these pathways includes careers students can explore and related courses offered at PR and in UCPS. These pathways assist students in choosing courses as they prepare for future studies and the work force. From Animal Science to Arts and Education, PRHS has many courses a student can choose from as they plan for the future.   • Gauging Interest in the International Baccalaureate Pathways at PRHS

    On Monday night Principal Kim Fisenne held an informational meeting to gauge community interest in International Baccalaureate Programs at Porter Ridge High School in the future.  The programs being explored are the IB Diploma Pathway and the IB Career-related Pathway.  Please see the attached presentation and please make sure to complete the survey at the end so that we can determine interest in our community.
