  • The GREATRACE-Ms. Yearick is looking for about 20-25 GREATRACE student crew members to help set up the Race on April 26th. You cannot run the race if you are on the set up crew. You will meet with her several times in the weeks prior to the Race to help plan and organize. Also, you would report to E107 right after school and work until about 9:00 p.m.  the evening of the Race. Please see her ASAP in E107 to pick up an application if interested. You will receive service hours for your contribution!

    Students interested in running The GREATRACE on a 4-person team should keep their eyes and ears peeled for upcoming announcements. Team registration will begin in March!

  • Basketball Tournament-StuCo is hosting PR's first ever basketball tournament here at PRHS after school on February 22nd, 2018 from 3:30 pm-5:30pm. Sign ups will be from January 30th-February 9th! Sign up!

  • PSAT Scores-PSAT scores were released to 10th & 11th grade students before winter break. Students were given information on how to access scores online through collegeboard.org or they can see their counselor.

  • Proctors Needed!-It's almost time for exams and we are in desperate need of proctors each day Jan. 19th and Jan. 22nd-24th from 7:45 a.m.-12 p.m. Please consider volunteering to proctor!   • College/Scholarship Info Needed-Seniors, do not forget to bring your college acceptance letters and scholarship offers to Ms. Ponder in the School Counseling Office! Even if you are not planning to attend the college, it's important to bring the letters in!

  • Free ACT Prep Info-Attention 11th grade students! This year all 11th grade students will participate in a very important test called the ACT. This test will provide valuable college information and count towards the overall accountability rating for Porter Ridge High School. In an effort to ensure our students are prepared and successful, Porter Ridge High School will offer a program called Method Test Prep. Method Test Prep is an online course that helps students build their SAT and ACT test prep skills.
