  • Attendance Outreach Program 
    We believe consistent student attendance and quality conduct is essential to students’ academic success.  Also, we desire to recognize children for their positive daily school actions.  Therefore, we are implementing a new six-week incentive plan focused on attendance and conduct.   • CATA Parent Night
    For those interested in learning more about CATA, Parent Night is Thursday, February 22nd at 6:30pm at CATA.
    CATA application opens Monday, February 12 and closes on April 30th.  Please see the CATA Website for additional information.

  • Introducing Naviance Family Connection!
    Union County Public Schools is proud to be partnering with Naviance to provide a variety of tools for your student to use in planning for high school, college, careers and beyond!  Naviance can be used to plan courses for high school, explore different careers according to individual assessment results, develop goals for the future, and manage the college applications process. 

    Learn more by accessing Family Connection to encourage and guide your student in making plans for the future.  Simply stop by our front office and request your access code to register for your Naviance Family Connection Account.   • Girls on the Run
    Girls on the Run registration is now open! (https://www.girlsontherununion.org/Program-Registration)
    Sessions are after school until 5:00 p.m. on Monday and Wednesday afternoons starting February 12th. If you have any questions, please see Ms. Nicole Gollmer or Ms. Kristen Sharpe.

  • Math Tutoring Opportunity
    Porter Ridge High School's Math Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta, will be offering free tutoring on Monday's after school from 3:45 until 4:30 beginning Monday, November 27th.  Please go to Mrs. Muhlitner's room (E104) after dismissal.

  • PRMS Volunteer Initiative
    Porter Ridge Middle School is looking for parent support to help our students academically, socially, and emotionally! Below are just a few opportunities in which we would appreciate your support:
    · Serving as a mentor
    · Supervision
    · Small group inspirational speeches (careers, character development, etc.)
    · Greeting students
    · Serving as a lunch buddy
    · Reading to students
    We will be sending a letter home soon with all students regarding these opportunities. If you are interested, please complete the survey, which will be listed on the letter. Once we have all the information, school staff will contact you to coordinate schedules. Thank you so much for your support and encouragement!

  • Early Release Days
    Our Early Release Days for the 2017-2018 school year:

    March 7.

    Dismissal time is 12:45 on all Early Release Days.
    Per UCPS policy any student dismissed before 12:45 on an Early Release Day will be counted absent.

    Go to yearbookforever.com and enter Porter Riddge Middle School, or send payments by cash or check to Mrs. Haun (Room D106). Yearbooks will also be sold at home basketball games.

  • Early Dismissal Procedures
    If a student plans to leave school before the end of the day, he/she must bring a note from home requesting early dismissal. The adult who plans to pick up the student must sign him/her out in the office by 3:15 pm and be prepared to show valid picture identification..ie driver's license or passport. Also, please allow yourself enough travel time to be inside the office by 3:15.

    Attendance is a vital part of your child’s instruction. Parents, please make sure to review the attendance policy in the student handbook beginning on page 13.     School hours are 8:45-3:45.  
    The earliest drop off is 8:00 and all students must be picked up by 4:00 unless participating in an approved afterschool activity.
