A first-year teaching experience filled with familiar faces
Brianna Wheelock is a new teacher at Hemby Bridge Elementary but is not a new face at UCPS. Wheelock attended Hemby Bridge Elementary, Porter Ridge Middle and Porter Ridge High. She also completed her student teaching and worked as a substitute and tutor in the district.

Union County Public Schools offer incentives to fill hard-to-staff positions
UCPS has announced a new recruitment and retention strategy to fill positions at four schools. During the Aug. 2 meeting, the Board of Education unanimously approved a strategic staffing initiative for East Union Middle, Monroe Middle, Forest Hills High and Monroe High.
