  • Students Love the WXES DARE Program

    The DARE graduation is Friday March 29th from 8-9:15 and then immediately following graduation we will be heading to Sports Connection, where they will eat Fox's Pizza and partake in Laser Tag, Bowling, Inflatables and the Arcade Room.

  • World Down Syndrome Day 2019

    On March 21st, people with Down syndrome and those who live and work with them throughout the world organize and participate in activities and events to raise public awareness and create a single global voice for advocating for the rights, inclusion and well being of people with Down Syndrome. Waxhaw Elementary participated by wearing their bright colored crazy socks!

  • Students are teachers for the day!

    Third graders in Mrs. Jacobs class earned their 200th paw from our PBIS Reward program. To celebrate, students elected to be teachers for the day.

  • Jelly Bean Math!

    Fifth grade students in Mrs. Thomas’s math class tackled a challenging volume problem to extend their understanding of volume. Many students can identify the formula for volume of length times width time height, but they used their understanding to solve a tasty problem with huge results. “How many jelly beans would you need to fill our whole classroom?”
