Cadet Taylor Raine Presented the Top Performer Award
Every three years, headquarters Air Force Jr ROTC (AFJROTC) visits each of the 878 AFJROTC units around the world. This past Monday, February 4, 2019, NC-931, Monroe/CATA AFJROTC, was inspected in 15 categories ranging from cadet knowledge to uniform inspection; from instructor program management to corps of cadet operations; from compliance to inventory.
This year’s inspection couldn’t have gone any better, earning an "Exceeds Standards" (highest rating) in 14 out of the 15 rated areas, placing us in the top 2% of all 878 AFJROTC Units and over 121,000 high school students worldwide. This all made possible by the outstanding effort and dedication of Cadet Taylor Raine.
Cadet Taylor Raine was recognized as one of the two top performers as a result of her untiring work over the last six months. As the Director of Logistics, she is responsible for the management of all equipment and inventory items. This includes, but is not limited to the following: all practice rifles, drill rifles, replica weapons and swords/sabers.
She insures all accountable uniform items are managed, issued, and inventoried via WINGS data base by individual size and quantity while maintaining an active file of signed hand receipts for items in cadets' possession. She makes sure all Air Force equipment is serially controlled, properly marked and displayed and all AFJROTC curriculum items, books, and technology are properly marked and accounted for.
All in all, Cadet Raine manages over 5,900 individual inventory line items, with cadet issued uniform items valued at over $75,000 alone. Superior job well done Ms. Raine!
