December 2022 Active Parenting of Teens Graduation

The Active Parenting of Teens classes held its last session on December 15, 2022 at Monroe High School. Congratulations to the nine parents who graduated with perfect attendance who participated in all 4 sessions and earned a certificate!

These classes are offered for all Union County Public Schools families as a resource to better understand adolescents  as they grow. 

Each class was held from 6:30 to 8:30PM on Thursdays and conducted  by Mrs. Helen Garcia Leak, M.Ed.  The topics for the sessions were:

• The Active Parent
• Responsibility & Behavior
• Redirecting Misbehavior
•  Drugs, Sexuality, and Violence

Last but not least, big thanks to our 2 volunteers from the ESL Department for helping us every week!
