Congratulations to the 13 students from Mrs. Carnathan’s Intro to Culinary Arts course who passed the ServSafe® exam to earn the Food Protection Manager Certification, accredited by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI)-Conference for Food Protection (CFP).
The ServSafe program, created by the National Restaurant Association, informs students of the most up-to-date FDA Food Code. Based on food safety research and years of food sanitation training experience, the program teaches students basic food safety practices.
All aspects of the program are based on actual job tasks identified by foodservice industry experts to help prepare students for a future career in the Hospitality sector.
The restaurant industry employs 12.8 million Americans in 960,000 locations. These 13 students join more than 4 million foodservice professionals who have been certified through the ServSafe Food Protection Manager Certification Exam.
In addition, ServSafe training and certification is recognized by more federal, state and local jurisdictions than any other food safety certification.
