It's a Big Day for Cavs!

bball players It’s an exciting day to be a Cavalier!

Our Superintendent Dr. Houlihan visited our school first thing and turned over his Instagram account to seniors Maiya Hayes and Josh Cureton for the day! In this way they can showcase all the exciting things going on in our school. And – there’s a LOT going on!

Seniors were treated to a Valentine-themed Senior Breakfast to start off the day. Special thanks to the Senior Events Committee for hosting such a festive event for the Class of 2020!

Members of our Men’s and Women’s Basketball teams visited Kensington and New Town Elementary Schools this morning to help in the car rider lines, greet the students, and read to classes.

We are excited to wish our 1st block Band students luck as they head to the University of South Carolina today to perform a special clinic concert for the Southeastern Honor Band Clinic. The band was selected by audition from throughout the southeastern states to present, so we are very proud of them.

Later today our Wrestling team heads to Hendersonville, NC to compete in the Western Regional Championships.

Our Indoor Track team is also leaving today to compete at the JDL Fast Track in Winston-Salem, NC in the State Championship.

Our Men’s and Women’s Basketball games are at home tonight and it’s Senior Night. In addition to the games, we will be collecting donations for Victory Junction. Victory Junction is a camp for children with disabilities. Read more about the camp here. Four donors will be chosen at halftime of the Men's Varsity game to receive a prize!

Our four swimmers who won individual swim events in the State Championships last weekend will be recognized between quarters of the women’s game. The 200 IM relay Champions were Leah Sandock, Avery Murray, Jordan Browning, and Alison Thome, and the 200 IM Champion is Alison Thome. Congratulations to all these athletes!

A special Champions Walk will take place during Cav period today to recognize and cheer on all our amazing Cavalier accomplishments with music from our Band percussionists! Good luck to everyone!
