Partnering with the Union County Christmas Bureau has been an annual CHS tradition for many years. Staff, students, clubs, and community members have regularly provided gifts of clothing, toys, and school supplies to fulfill the wish lists of children right here in Union County by choosing gift tags from the tree located in our Media Center.
This year we are sponsoring 20 teens as well as assisting with a warm clothing drive to provide for needs within several Union County Public Schools.
Due to Covid, there will not be a tag-covered tree set up in the Media Center as in the past, but rather, a Sign-Up Genius has been created for any interested donors to review and sign up for items they wish to give.
All items are due back by December 1 - unwrapped. They may be dropped off during the school day 8:00 – 4:00 pm in a donation bin at the front door of the school which will be regularly checked throughout the day. If you would rather give the item in person, feel free to ring the front bell and someone from the front office will come accept it.
If you are a parent of a student who attends school in person you may send the item in with them to be dropped off in the Media Center. Please remember to indicate on the gift which child # it is for, or that it is for the warm clothing drive. This information is listed in the Sign-Up Genius.
We know this year has been extremely unusual in many ways and we are sincerely appreciative of community support as we strive to meet these needs of students right here in our own county. Questions may be directed to the CHS Media Center staff.
