CMS Update May 3rd from Mr. Murray
I hope everyone is staying safe and doing their part to flatten the curve.
Per state mandate all schools will remain closed for the remainder of the year. Parents realize some students might still have items left in their lockers, when the state removes this mandate we will communicate a plan for students to pick up any belongings left at the school.
Please continue to encourage your child to make a commitment to completing all assignments provided by his/her teachers. Teachers will be inputting assignments in powerschool moving forward. Students will receive a mark of Collected, Missing or Incomplete. Teachers will use the comment section of powerschool to further explain any mastery concerns.
ATTENTION 8TH GRADE PARENTS: HIGH SCHOOL REGISTRATION
8th grade parents please be on the lookout tomorrow for an email regarding the Cuthbertson High School registration.
IDEAS FOR CELEBRATING 8TH GRADE STUDENTS VIRTUALLY
We realize that our 8th grade families are disappointed that we will be unable to have an 8th grade promotion ceremony. Our goal is to celebrate our students virtually. Please email me your creative thoughts on how we can make this promotion as memorable as possible.
TEACHER APPRECIATION WEEK
This upcoming week is Teacher Appreciation Week! Parents and students please take the time to celebrate your teachers. Please be creative in how you choose to recognize your teachers, it can be a social media post, a card, a video or an e gift card. CMS has the best group of teachers around and lets do our part in showing them how much we appreciate them this week!

CMS VIRTUAL ART GALLERY
We are very excited that we now have a CMS Virtual Art Gallery! Managed by Mrs. Peppard, our art teacher, we are celebrating our students by showcasing their artwork through a public canvas platform for your viewing enjoyment. Please view information below from Mrs. Peppard, regarding our Gallery.
One of the privileges of being an art teacher is displaying student's finished masterpieces in the main hallways at CMS for our community to enjoy. Due to the closing of school I decided to create an on-line student gallery so that you, the viewer, can see the amazing work that is being done at home by art students in my classes as well as by students who are being artistic on their own.
Check back every Friday for New Art Pieces!

JUST BECAUSE WE CAN'T GO TO THE LIBRARY DOES NOT MEAN THAT WE DON'T HAVE ACCESS TO THOUSANDS OF GREAT READS!
Visit CMS Destiny to find links to all the different platforms where you can access thousands of popular e books, audio books, interactive books, as well as screencasts from Mrs. Bost on how to use each resource! #HappyReading
