Important CMS Update from Mr. Murray: September 23rd

Good Afternoon Cavalier Families,
Yesterday UCPS made an announcement regarding instructional models and schedules. Under Plan B a decision was made to expand learning options, including adding a second day of in-person instruction for those families who opt for face-to-face teaching and learning.
Beginning, Sept. 29, current Pre-K – 12 students on Plan B will attend school two days a week. Under the Plan B expansion model, the new cohort rotation for attending school will be:
Monday/Tuesday or
Wednesday/Thursday.
If your student attends school under the Plan B model on Tuesdays, they would attend on Monday and Tuesday moving forward. Students attending on Wednesday orThursday would now attend on both of those days.
All students will work in a remote learning setting on Friday.
Current Plan D students will remain in the virtual setting. UCPS will be communicating out further details regarding the second semester in the coming weeks.
Middle school students on the Plan D model do not have the option to return for two days of instruction at this time.
Due to safety concerns we had to adjust some student schedules. All students will continue to have the same teachers; the only adjustment was the block they had their current teacher. Students will receive updated schedules in their homeroom when they return next week on their assigned day.
If you have any questions please feel free to contact your students grade level administrator regarding any class adjustments.
