Many blessings during the holiday season

This year at East Union Middle many people have come forward with generous offerings to help students have a joyous and happy Christmas! Employees from Charlotte Pipe & Foundry, Plastics Division are a part of Christian Cooking Convoy, a group that works on providing food for the community and people in need. They provided a full Christmas meal for twenty-four students and their families at East Union. Among these men were Mike Wallace, Ricky Williams, and JIm McClellan. Five of the men in this group selflessly gave up the Food Lion gift cards that they got as a Christmas present from their workplace. They did not know what amount was on the card, and yet were willing to give it up to students at EU so that their families could be provided with a good meal.

In addition, the Formen and Managers Club donated money to East Union, also to provide students with a good Christmas. Local churches also sponsored students in need, and staff members here at East Union have also supported students’ families. The staff at East Union received gifts from our PTO to thank them for a great year so far with building knowledge and relationships with their students. The entire staff also received blessings of car fresheners from one of our parents, which were delivered by 6th grade elves.

Thank you to everyone who contributed towards making this Christmas extra-special for so many!
